Dragonflies
by Alexandru Macedonski (1854-1920)

Many dragonflies so graceful

Wing in summer air fine,

Wearing their tiny stays,

Bringing back our hope so peaceful

Graciously on their wings ashine:

Summer days, my dragonflies.

Transformation everywhere,

Poetry and many twinkles,

And below the solar praise:

Fresh the delta, rosy air,

What a charming, lovely bliss!

Dragonflies, my summer days.
